[P.0.E] - Mercury Light Armor

My Mercury Light Armor is designed to be a lightweight armored bodysuit. It is mostly form-fitting and very versatile. Being a tighter fit, it is easier to mix with other garments and armor plating.

= SETUP =

  • Requirements: Poiyomi (Shaders) Fury (Unity Setup, strongly recommended but not needed!), Unity 2022.3.6f1, Creator Companion
  1. Create a new file with the Creator Companion (Unity 2022.3.6f1)
  2. Import the clothing unity file into your project
  3. Drag the clothing .fbx onto your avatar in the hierarchy
  4. Add Component: VRC Fury | Armature Link
  5. Add Component: VRC Fury | Blendshape Link 5a.Set "Name of skinned mesh object on avatar:" to your avatar's skinned mesh renderer. (This is usually named "Body")
  6. Under Skinned meshes to link click + 5c.Open the hierarchy of the clothing and drag each object into the field under "Skinned meshes to link". (Use the + icon to create additional fields if needed.)
  7. Add Component: VRC Fury | Toggle 6a.Setup a Menu Path. Examples: Outfit_Name/Outfit_Part Vanguard/Vest
  8. Repeat steps 11-12 until you have the desired toggles setup.
  9. Add whichever materials you wish to use by dragging the material orb onto the mesh in the 3D viewport.
  10. Build/Publish the avatar, this will automatically migrate the bones from the clothing to the avatar, as well as upload the avatar to VRChat! Note: You will require upload permissions to import the avatar. Visual setup guide: https://gyazo.com/cf1f4fe6cf018881262180607817fa27 (edited)

= PERFORMANCE=

This outfit comes in two separate mesh renderers, one for the boots and one for the bodysuit, allowing you to remove them if you choose. However, you can easily merge them and re-import the armor, they use the same material.

  • Total: 41,740 triangles (1 material)

For best performance, we recommend deleting sections of your mesh avatar hidden by the clothing, as this will reduce your triangle count, material number, and reduce possible clipping with the garment!

Note that body thickness/plus-size shape keys may not work for all avatars, given that the outfit was created with athletic shapes in mind.
